Near Neighbours offers Four highly successful project development workshops and a range of practical resources to help you in the planning and delivery of local community projects that bring communities together.

For general information on the content and benefits of the workshops please contact John McCallum, East Midlands Coordinator who is the workshop lead for Near Neighbours: 07557 669577 or nn@stphilipscentre.co.uk.

Faith Based Fundraising

A day workshop introduction to all aspects of fundraising designed for people who are new to the subject or have a role in overseeing fundraising.

Faithful Fundraising

A day workshop exploration of how to write grant fundraising applications, for those with some basic experience who would like to improve their bids.

Faithful Organisations

A half day or evening workshop on exploring good practice for those who manage or govern places of worship or faith based social action projects

Safeguarding in Faith Organisations

A half day or evening workshop to raise awareness of the need to keep children, young people and vulnerable adults safe in places of worship and faith based social action projects.

All of the workshops are supported by a wealth of tools, examples and written resources that participants can take away for use in their project. The workshops offer high value experience from over 30 years of work in faith communities and are available at a nominal cost for Near Neighbours project participants and their partner agencies.

Workshops are designed to help people learn from each other’s experience. Very often projects find that they make new friends and partnerships with other participants in the locality who might support each other’s work.

When a single organisation has a need for multiple participants to attend a workshop it is possible to organise a bespoke session specifically for their needs. Workshops are regularly organised in each Near Neighbours location so speak to your local Near Neighbours Coordinator for booking details.
