Windrush Day Grant Scheme 2023

(This scheme is now closed)

We are pleased to announce that the Windrush Day Grant Scheme 2023 is now open for applications.

Windrush Day recognises and thanks the Windrush Generation, and their descendants, for the huge contribution they made to rebuilding Britain after the Second World War, and have continued to make since. Projects funded under the scheme will aim to educate their communities about the Windrush generation and our shared history, and celebrate the British Caribbean community.

2023 marks the 75th anniversary of the arrival of the MV Empire Windrush in the United Kingdom (UK).

This year’s grant scheme will for the first time be open to community organisations in Northern Ireland to apply for funding and join together in celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the arrival of the MV Empire Windrush.
