International Women's Day 2023 #EmbraceEquity

8th March is an annual event, where people around the globe bring attention to the issues that women encounter in different areas of their lives, but it is also an opportunity where women’s achievements and roles in society are celebrated and recognised.

The call to action is led by International Women’s Day (IWD) every year, which serves as a platform to connect people throughout the globe. Every year IWD shares a campaign theme which helps people think about a specific topic for their celebratory events. The theme for 2023 is #EmbraceEquity.

We feel that International Women’s Day is an important day to celebrate and this year our coordinators are either organising, supporting, promoting and/or funding a series of projects and events with the aim of recognising, celebrating, and elevating the voices of women and shedding a spotlight on the difference that women as individuals and as a unit are making in our society.
